HBO brings NFL fans to 'Life'

NEW YORK -- HBO is launching "Fan Life," a series of short films about NFL superfans available exclusively on its digital platforms, the Time Warner-owned premium cable channel said Tuesday.

"Fan Life," which will run in eight three-to-six minute segments, can only be streamed on HBO.com or downloaded through HBO Mobile and HBO Podcasts.

This marks the first time HBO Sports has created original programming for simultaneous distribution across the network's digital platforms.

The series debuted Nov. 20 with a segment on a Kansas City Chiefs fanatic and a new episode will premiere each Tues. through Jan. 2008. Pittsburgh Steelers, Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers fans will also be profiled.

Seven fans have already been chosen as subjects with an eighth to be selected among users who submit testimonials to the Web site for HBO's "Inside the NFL" series at hbo.com/infl.
