HBO Is Letting Everyone Watch Beyonce's 'Lemonade' Premiere for Free This Weekend
The season premieres of 'Game of Thrones,' 'Veep' and 'Silicon Valley' also are scheduled for the network's free preview weekend.
HBO is preparing for a big weekend of premieres, and for maximum impact is letting everyone watch them for free.
The subscription TV network announced Wednesday it and Cinemax will offer a free preview weekend running Friday-Monday, aligning with the world premiere of Beyonce's Lemonade and season premieres of some of its favorite shows.
In the revealed weekend schedule it appears that the Lemonade event will be an hour long, running from 9–10 p.m. ET between the world pay-TV premiere of Jurassic World and the Gennady Golovkin vs. Dominic Wade middleweight world championship boxing match. It also will run again Sunday at 8 p.m. before the season premieres of HBO's beloved series Game of Thrones, Veep and Silicon Valley.
The length of Lemonade is significant, as it suggests this could be the premiere of Beyonce's much-anticipated sixth solo studio album, rather than solely a single, as some have thought.
