HBO Latino Sets Fall Lineup of First-Run Fare
Programming includes the second season of "Capadocia," 16 Spanish-language films, an animated special and documentary feature.
HBO Latino has set its fall slate.
The cable network’s dedicated Spanish-language premium channel’s first-run slate includes the U.S. television premiere of Season 2 Capadocia, 16 films under the Estrenos banner, the animated special El Perro y El Gato: Sigue Sonando as well as the HBO documentary film The Latino List.
Capadocia, a gritty drama following a group of women serving time in a fictional Mexico City prison, will premiere Sept. 16 at 10 p.m. ET.
Exclusive to HBO Latino, the Estrenos Latinos Spanish-language films will air on Fridays beginning Sept. 16 with Tropico de Sangre, the true story of the Mirabal sisters, and followed by Contracorriente (Sept. 23) and Solo Quiero Caminar (Sept. 30).
Animated special El Perro y El Gato: Sigue Sonando (Keep on Dreaming) will bow Sept. 15 at 7 a.m. ET.
Documentary The Latino List, revolving around Latino leaders, will air Sept. 28 at 9 p.m. ET.
HBO original series Boardwalk Empire, Hung, Bored to Death, How to Make It In America and new dramedy Enlightened will also be offered in Spanish.
Blockbuster feature films also set to be dubbed in Spanish and broadcast on Saturdays starting Sept. 3 include Megamind, 127 Hours, Hereafter and Little Fockers.
