HBO movie taking on Clintons, Blair

Dennis Quaid, Julianne Moore attached to 'Special'

Dennis Quaid is attached to play President Clinton, Julianne Moore to play Hillary Clinton and "Frost/Nixon" star Michael Sheen to portray British Prime Minister Tony Blair in "The Special Relationship," a movie for HBO penned by "Frost/Nixon" witer Peter Morgan.

If it is greenlighted, Morgan will make his directorial debut with the film, about the political relationship between Bill Clinton and Blair.

This would be the third time Sheen portrays former British PM Blair. He played him in two Stephen Frears movies penned by Morgan: 2003's "The Deal" and 2006's "The Queen."

Kathleen Kennedy, Morgan and Andy Harries are exec producing "Relationship," which the BBC is in talks to co-produce with HBO.

Ann Wingate and Frank Doelger serve as producers.
