HBO Nordic Takes Heist Drama 'The Last Panthers'
SundanceTV recently acquired the show, starring Samantha Morton, Tahar Rahim and John Hurt, for the U.S.
HBO Nordic has acquired upcoming crime drama The Last Panthers, commissioned by Sky Atlantic and Canal+, following a deal for U.S. rights with SundanceTV at MIPCOM.
The show will air simultaneously to 21 million Sky customers in the U.K., Ireland, Germany, Austria and Italy starting on Nov. 12.
StudioCanal and Sky Vision, which are managing worldwide distribution, have sold the show to HBO Nordic for its Scandinavian territories. They have also pre-sold the series to 365 Iceland and Hot in Israel.

The Last Panthers is a six-part crime series about the real-life Pink Panthers gang of diamond thieves. It stars Samantha Morton (Minority Report), Tahar Rahim (A Prophet, The Past), Goran Bogdan (We Will Be The World Champions) and John Hurt (Midnight Express, Elephant Man).
