HBO's 'John Adams' wins Banff jury prize

ABC's 'Lost' named best series

TORONTO -- HBO'S "John Adams" picked up the grand jury prize and best drama trophy at the 2009 Banff World Television Awards Monday night.

Other Banff winners include Channel Four's "The Curse of the Mona Lisa" winning for best documentary, while Japanese broadcaster NHK's "Rescue Toya!" earned the best interactive award.

HBO's period drama "John Adams" also grabbed the best mini-series prize on Sunday night, the first night of the Banff World Television Awards, as ABC's "Lost" won for best series/serial program.
