HBO's 'Tilda' removes showrunner Mort

Report: clashes with Diane Keaton; show's future unclear

HBO's "Tilda," loosely based on Hollywood blogger and Deadline Hollywood founder Nikki Finke, has lost its showrunner after disputes during an intense pilot shoot.

Entertainment Weekly reports that showrunner Cynthia Mort frequently clashed with "Tilda" star Diane Keaton and executive producer/director Bill Condon. "They banged heads about almost everything," a source told EW.

When Mort was asked not to return to the set, she sent an email saying Condon and Keaton didn't know what they were doing and predicting the show would fail, according to EW.

The show may need some retooling as the clash apparently helped the team realize that the show doesn't quite click yet. Condon is reportedly closing in on a new showrunner, and HBO has ordered additional scripts.

HBO didn't comment on the situation.
