Marshall developed and created 14 TV series.

Henry Winkler in a solemn moment on Sunday night honored the late Garry Marshall during the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards.

The producer and Happy Days creator died July 18. He was 81.

"He was loyal, He had generosity of spirit and knowledge," Winkler lamented. The actor added that to focus on Marshall's creative contribution to the industry would ignore 90 percent of what he had to offer the world.

Marshall was the older brother of director-actress Penny Marshall. His final film, Mother's Day, reunited him with Pretty Woman star Julia Roberts.

Marshall developed and created 14 TV series, including Happy Days, and executive produced more than 1,000 half-hour episodes.
