Evan Spiliotopoulos is in talks to write the adaptation of Seven Wonders, an upcoming book by Ben Mezrich.
The story revolves around the Seven Wonders of the World. The book, published by RatPac Press and distributed by Perseus on Sept. 2, centers on a man who is determined to find out why his reclusive mathematician brother was murdered. His mission takes him around the world as he unravels the mystery that links the Seven Wonders.
Flynn Picture Company's Beau Flynn, who came up with the concept for Seven Wonders, and RatPac Entertainment’s Brett Ratner are producing the Fox project.
Spiliotopoulos, who previously worked on the script for Snow What and the Huntsman, wrote Ratner's directorial project Hercules, which stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and was produced by Flynn. The movie hits theaters on July 25. Spiliotopoupos is also writing the Huntsman sequel to which Frank Darabont is coming on board as director. He's repped by UTA, DJ Talbot and MARKS Law Group.
Ratner also has a history with Mezrich, serving as an executive producer on the film adaptation 21, based on Mezrich's book Bringing Down The House: The Inside Story Of Six M.I.T. Students Who Took Vegas For Millions. Mezrich also wrote The Accidental Billionaires, which was adapted into The Social Network.
