As viewers of the TLC reality show know, one of the Thompson family's favorite pastimes is hopping on four-wheelers and driving them around in the mud -- also known as "mud-boggin'."

News of his hospitalization comes the same day that TLC announced it had ordered more episodes of its hit reality show, a spinoff of Toddlers & Tiaras, as well as holiday specials timed to Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
