HFPA Member Max B. Miller Commits Suicide
Organization that hosted the Golden Globe Awards deals with loss of longtime member the day after the ceremony.
Longtime Hollywood Foreign Press Association member Max B Miller has died in an apparent suicide.
The HFPA put out a statement on Thursday: "Max B. Miller was a beloved member of the HFPA for over 40 years. A gentle man, he was an accomplished journalist, photographer and producer and we considered him family."
"Our most sincere condolences go out to his family," the statement continued. "We ask that you respect the their privacy at this time."
A spokesman for the Los Angeles County Coroner confirmed the suicide, saying that Miller, 73, died from a gunshot wound to the head on January 17, the day after the Golden Globes.
