Hilary Duff Is Going on Her First Tinder Date Tonight
Wish her luck. The newly single mom is trying out the dating app and, it seems, having lots of success.
Anyone who's spent time on Tinder, Match.com, Hinge, OkCupid or any other dating app or website has undoubtedly come across a familiar face or two. (Terrell Owens, Verne Troyer and Old Spice spokesman Isaiah Mustafa have been spotted by staffers here, and Leonardo DiCaprio is rumored to be.) As is the case with Scott Eastwood, the ones you really want to be real are usually a catfish situation.
One celeb who is actually, honestly Tinder-ing it up right now? Hilary Duff. The freshly divorced mom admitted to MYfm’s Valentine in the Morning show that she's "talking to probably about … nine guys right now," adding that the app is "wildly addicting."
The star says "some people don't know [who I am]; I think some people act like they don't know but they do and then a lot of people are like, 'This is a joke, right?' " As for what she likes, Duff says no to shirtless mirror selfies and yes to guys she finds attractive, who have a funny profile. For her part, she says, her profile says, "Let's get pizza."
And if you thought a celebrity like Duff would be on Tinder just for the entertainment value, with no plans for follow-through, think again. She has her first date planned, with a guy named Tom who's taking her bowling. She is bringing friends along though, which she calls her "training wheels" for her first-ever blind date. And first date with "a total normie."
Good luck to Duff, and good luck to all the guys in Los Angeles who, like Aaron Carter, have had a lifelong crush on Lizzie McGuire.
