Hilary Duff, Vanessa Hudgens Promote Jeans Made of Coffee Grounds
Introducing American Eagle's new denim line made from recycled coffee grounds.
If you’re anything like us and the celebs who love their coffee, you're likely celebrating National Coffee Day with your third cup of Joe already. But why stop there when you can wear the brewed drink via a pair of pants from American Eagle?
The fashion retailer is taking the all-important holiday to the next level with its new Denim x Café line, which is made out of 2.25 grams of recycled coffee grounds per jean, according to an Instagram post. To help introduce the new women's collection, AE tapped Hilary Duff and Vanessa Hudgens to show off the brand’s new coffee-soaked pants, with both actresses posting the denim look on Instagram.
"Coffee date with @AustinButler on #NationalCoffeeDay and the best part...our @americaneagle jeans are made with recycled coffee grounds! #notlying #ButFirstCafeX," wrote Hudgens.
According to Racked, the coffee grounds-infused jeans come with several benefits, including warding off odors and protecting the wearer from harmful UV rays. Racked also reports that the pants won’t make you smell like you’re covered in coffee, either.
This isn’t the first time AE has introduced a rather unique concept with its denim line. In 2013, the label launched a campaign around their "skinny skinny" jeans with a spray-on denim idea.
The Denim x Café line is expected to drop Oct. 15 in stores and online, with prices ranging from $49.95 to $54.95.
