Hillary Clinton Aide Huma Abedin Joins Twitter With Message About American Muslims
Clinton promptly welcomed her to the social-media platform by retweeting her.
Longtime Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin has joined Twitter to send a pointed message about being Muslim and American.
Abedin, who is married to former Congressman Anthony Weiner, has currently posted just one tweet. Her post appears aimed at GOP presidential candidate Ben Carson, who recently stated that a Muslim should not serve as U.S. president.
"You can be a proud American, a proud Muslim and proudly serve this great country," Abedin tweeted. "Pride versus prejudice."
Clinton promptly welcomed Abedin to Twitter by retweeting her and adding the message, "Couldn't agree more."
The tweets can be seen below.
