Hillary Clinton on Donald Trump: "I No Longer Think He's Funny"
"What he's saying now is not only shameful and wrong — it's dangerous."
Hillary Clinton didn't hold back when Seth Meyers brought up Donald Trump on Thursday.
"I have to say, Seth, I no longer think he's funny," said Clinton. "For weeks you and everybody else were just bringing folks to hysterical laughter, but now he has gone way over the line, and what he's saying now is not only shameful and wrong — it's dangerous."
Clinton continued, saying that Trump has been an "equal opportunity insulter," and she can handle it when he goes after her. However, she said, his call to ban Muslims from entering the United States "really plays into the hands of the terrorists."
The Democratic presidential candidate said the Republican frontrunner is giving terrorists a "great propaganda tool, a way to recruit more folks from Europe and the United States." Clinton said that now that Trump has crossed that line, she thinks everybody and "especially Republicans" need to stand up to Trump and say "Enough, we've gone too far, that's not who we are."
Clinton also chatted with Meyers about what would make her husband and former president Bill Clinton a good First Gentlemen. (Clinton laughed hysterically at the question and said Bill loves giving tours and is a great host.) That lead into Hillary sharing a story of how she had to help Bill learn not to smile during his mission to North Korea to free two captive American journalists. Watch below to see her talk about her husband and also explain her thoughts on gun control.
