History Channel scores with 'Star Wars'

The Force was with History Channel on Monday night.

The two-hour special "Star Wars: The Legacy Revealed" averaged 3.1 million total viewers in its premiere at 9 p.m.. In the key adult demos, the special was History's most-watched original telecast of all time in adults 25-54 (1.8 million) and its most-watched telecast ever in 18-49 (1.7 million). In addition, History was the No. 1 cable network of the night in primetime among 25-54.

On Tuesday night, the debut of new series "The Universe" gave History its best-ever series premiere in 25-54, drawing 796,000 viewers. The episode averaged 1.6 million in total viewers and pulled in 777,000 adults 18-49.

Meanwhile, the first-season finale of Bravo's "Shear Genius" at 10 p.m. Wednesday was the series' most-viewed episode ever. The episode drew 1.3 million total viewers, 859,000 in adults 18-49 and 816,000 in adults 25-54.
