Hitchcock joins THR in TV, tech sales

Craig Hitchcock has been tapped for the newly created position of director of sales for television and technology at The Hollywood Reporter. He reports to Rose Einstein, vp and associate publisher, sales and marketing.

Hitchcock will oversee business development within the television, technology and new-media business verticals.

"Craig's extensive background in entertainment and media make him a perfect fit for managing advertising sales in TV, new media and technology," Einstein said. "This is a unique period of rapid change and opportunity for both the global entertainment industry and The Hollywood Reporter."

Hitchcock recently was a group publisher (home entertainment and retail) with Reed Business Information, where he was responsible for the overall business development and ad revenue performance for several publications, including Video Business, Tradeshow Week and LA 411, as well as their related Web sites, e-newsletters and events. He also was director of business development at PricewaterhouseCoopers from 2005-06 and earlier had ad sales roles at Variety and at Broadcasting and Cable.
