Hoda Kotb Adopts a Baby Girl
She's a Valentine's Day baby.
Hoda Kotb is a new mama.
The Today co-host confirmed the happy news on the morning talk show Tuesday.
"I do have something to tell you, but instead of telling you, I'm going to show you something," said Kotb via a phone call, before unveiling a photo with her new baby girl. "That little girl — Haley Joy — is my daughter." Kotb added, "She's a Valentine's Day baby, she's a little nugget. She's the love of my life."
Kotb, 52, alluded to the news last Friday, posting a mysterious Instagram with a message that read, "For all the things my hands have held the best by far is you."
Kotb has no previous children with former husband Burzis Kanga.
Her Today show colleagues, including Matt Lauer, Kathie Lee Gifford, Carson Daly, Savannah Guthrie, sent their well wishes for Kotb and her new bundle of joy.
Said Lauer: "This little girl Haley is the luckiest girl. You are going to be one of the most fantastic moms I can ever imagine."
