Hollywood Film Awards: Complete Winners List
'Gone Girl,' Robert Duvall, Keira Knightley, Chris Rock and Michael Keaton were among the winners
Friday's Hollywood Film Awards saw David Fincher's Gone Girl take home the top prize.
Accepting the award, star Ben Affleck thanked his director for keeping the shoot cold during a controversial scene in which you (may or may not) see his penis.
"If you have one chance for America to see your junk, you want it to be cold," Affleck said.
Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game) took home the top actor honor, while Julianne Moore (Still Alice) took home the Hollywood Actress Award.
Robert Downey Jr. presented the first award of the night to his The Judge co-star Robert Duvall, who remarked upon receiving the statue, "It's been a while since anything in my hand felt so good." Jonah Hill — introducing Steve Carell and Channing Tatum, called Foxcatcher the best movie of the year. But Carell, accepting the Hollywood Ensemble Award, said he wasn't sure if that was true. "Fifty years," maybe.
Comedy Film winner Chris Rock joked he was thankful that he won an award at the only ceremony not to feature Pharrell Williams' "Happy," while Johnny Depp gave a very bumpy intro to Shep Gordon, the subject of Mike Meyers' documentary Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon.
"I'm not really good at this kind of thing," Depp said during his intro, which included some curse words (censored by CBS), and led to online commentors wondering if he was drunk.
The show aired live on CBS from The Hollywood Palladium, with Queen Latifah hosting. Some of the winners were previously announced (you can check them out here), and you can also see the best red-carpet style, best and worse show moments and what the winners were saying backstage.
The awards, which are billed as "the official launch of the awards season," are produced by Dick Clark productions, a sister company of The Hollywood Reporter. The telecast was followed by an invitation-only afterparty co-hosted by THR's Janice Min and Scott Feinberg at the W Loft atop the W Hotel.
