Hollywood Hits the Red Carpet
OUR IDIOT BROTHER PREMIERE: The premiere of the Weinstein Co.'s R-rated comedy at the Cinerama Dome kept it all in the family. Husband-and-wife screenwriters David Schisgall and Evgenia Peretz wrote the script for her brother, Jesse Peretz, to direct. "It was like a family -- there were bumpy spots, but you get through them, keep going, and things get better," Schisgall said of working with the Peretz siblings. Paul Rudd stars as the amiable brother who gets out of prison and disrupts the lives of his three sisters, played by Emily Mortimer, Zooey Deschanel and Elizabeth Banks. Adding to the family dynamic, "There were no dressing rooms, no trailers, and everybody was kind of forced to be really together and intimate," co-star Kathryn Hahn said. Harvey Weinstein held court at the afterparty at the Mondrian hotel's Skybar with guests including Amy Poehler and Olivia Munn. Said Schisgall at night's end, "People would be better if they were more idiotic!" -- Ramona Saviss
