Hollywood Hits the Red Carpet

The opening of The Hollywood Reporters Design Hollywood at the Century showhouse, in collaboration with The Related Companies, brought L.A.’s top designers and industry insiders to The Century building to celebrate rooms specially created by 14 top designers. For Ryan Murphy, the event — and THR’s look at his Spanish-style Beverly Hills house for its inaugural Design Issue cover story — marked the end of a project of his own. “With the completion of this issue, I feel like we finished that house,” he said. Murphy and two of his shows’ stars — Glee’s Chris Colfer and The New Normal’s Bebe Wood — toured the 7,000-square-foot space with Murphy’s designer, Cliff Fong, who praised Hollywood for the creativity that unfolds over two luxury condominiums on the 20th floor of the 2-year-old Related-built tower. “All of us in this community are lucky to have clients who have that kind of freedom and passion for design,” he said. Showhouse tickets (Fridays through Sundays until Nov. 18) are available to the public at THR.com/designhollywood. — Rebecca Ford
