Hollywood Marketer FansTang Signs Content Deal With Shanghai-Based Dragon TV

The LA and China-based marketing and media group will provide the Chinese satellite channel with entertainment news, celebrity interviews and lifestyle content for its daily "Entertainment Star World" show.

FansTang, a startup marketing outfit that promotes Hollywood celebrities and Western athletes to the Chinese market, has signed a deal with Shanghai-based satellite network Dragon TV to provide entertainment news, celebrity interviews and lifestyle content for the broadcaster's Entertainment Star World show.

The agreement was announced Monday by Li Yong, general manager of Shanghai New Entertainment Media, the parent company of Dragon TV, and Adam Roseman, founder and CEO of FansTang, at the Shangri-La Hotel in Shanghai’s Jing'an District.

“FansTang will entertain domestic fans with relevant, unique and China-tailored Hollywood news and celebrity lifestyle content," said Roseman. "We will also seamlessly integrate our extensive social media and broad-reaching content platform, as well as our significant live event activities.”

FansTang is owned by parent company China Branding Group, which has 50 employees and offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Los Angeles. The company negotiates Chinese endorsement deals for Western talent and helps U.S.-based stars engage Chinese fans on the country’s popular social media sites and online fan clubs. 

Dragon TV and Shanghai New Entertainment Media, which produce the daily entertainment program Entertainment Star World, are subsidiaries of Shanghai Media Group (SMG), the regional TV, radio, news and Internet conglomerate.
