'Tweet House' event to kick off Austin festival

The Hollywood Reporter is throwing an exclusive opening-night Twitter-themed party at the 2010 South By Southwest Film, Music and Interactive Festival on Friday, March 12, in Austin.

The THR-sponsored bash will coincide with the latest in a series of "Tweet House" events hosted by the Parnassus Group. The event will take place at Mellow Johnny's at 9:30 p.m., following an afternoon of panel discussions devoted to the intersection of social media and entertainment.

Joining THR and Parnassus in sponsorship of the day's festivities will be Chevrolet, which will host a "Tailgate Party" barbecue immediately following Tweet House panel sessions.
