SCORSESE GOES CLASSIC

Martin Scorsese's the Film Foundation has partnered with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment to bring to DVD unreleased movies from the Sony library. Films will be released under the "Collector's Choice" banner and include commentaries and personalized introductions from talent. The first release will be "The Films of Budd Boetticher," a boxed set of five Westerns that will arrive in stores Nov. 4.

FOX, MGM TUNE UP

Fox and MGM are bundling 50 of their most famous musicals into the "Hollywood Musicals Collection," a 61-disc DVD set that retails for $500. The set includes the films as well as 50 exclusive postcard reproductions of the original theatrical one-sheets. Featured musicals include "West Side Story," "Guys and Dolls" and "Fiddler on the Roof." The set hits stores Nov. 11.

GRAFFEO AT POINTROLL

Ken Graffeo, the former executive vp marketing at Universal Studios Home Entertainment who became HD DVD's de facto Hollywood spokesman, has resurfaced as COO of PointRoll, which provides digital advertising services to companies and brand marketers. PointRoll, owned by Gannett, claims a client roster that includes 65% of the Fortune 100 companies.
