The films, released from 1994-97, are spinoffs of the Emmy-winning sci-fi TV series that launched in 1989 and ran for one season on Fox — itself a spinoff of the 1988 "Alien Nation" theatrical film.

Puppy love

Pet lovers around the world can unite around the release of Buena Vista Home Entertainment's "Snow Buddies," coming to DVD Tuesday. The campaign will be funded through a percentage of the proceeds of sales for the direct-to-DVD release.
