The app joins HBO Go and Netflix

Apple continues to bolster the premium content available on its set-top box, adding Showtime Anytime to a lineup that already includes apps for HBO Go, Netflix and Hulu Plus.

The Showtime Anytime app for Apple TV offers select episodes of the cable network's shows — including Masters of Sex, Homeland and House of Lies — for free. Showtime subscribers will also have access to the network's full library of shows and live broadcasts of Showtime's East Coast and West Coast feeds. Until today, Apple TV was one of the few devices on which Showtime Anytime was not available. The app is already on iPad, Roku, Fire TV and Xbox 360 devices.

Apple TV has seen an influx of content in recent months with the addition of programming from NFL Now, CNBC, Fox, ABC News and AOL
