How Do You Feel Aboout SOPA?

Americans are aware of the piracy debate in Congress and stand firmly against Hollywood's efforts to pass strict legislation. That's the result of a THR/Penn Schoen Berland poll of 700 people ages 13-59 on Jan. 22.  Younger people were more than twice as likely to oppose SOPA, but a clear majority sides with the tech industry's belief that new anti-piracy laws would curb free speech online. "Americans don't relate to Hollywood's claim that piracy costs industry jobs," says pollster Jon Penn. "But those of all ages and political persuasions connect with the values of a free and open Internet." -- Matthew Belloni
