How to Get Felicity Jones' Golden Globes Look

Felicity Jones

Dior Beauty makeup artist Sabrina Bedrani shares the secrets to re-creating the nominees' red-carpet radiance.

It may be Felicity Jones' first awards season, but the Theory of Everything starlet and best actress nominee looked like a pro in a floor-length teal Christian Dior gown, and equally dazzling makeup, courtesy of artist Sabrina Bedrani

"The dress is so architectural in a way and very couture," explains Bedrani, who turned to Dior Beauty to create Jones' fresh-faced look. Making her eyes the focal point, Bedrani smudged Jones' eyes with the Diorshow Kohl stick in black, and dusted the outer corner of her eyes with a dark green shade from the Dior spring 2015 5 Couleurs palette in House of Greens, which Bedrani also applied to the lower lash line.

When it came to Jones' lip shade, Bedrani opted for Rouge Dior Contour LipLiner Pencil in Spring #468, and Rouge Dior Lipstick in Plisse Soleil #532 to bring a "pop of color that would keep it a bit more modern," she says, in lieu of a classic Hollywood red lip. "For people like Felicity who haven't gone for a lot of red, and who aren't used to wearing those big gowns, it sometimes feels like a bit much, and they want to maintain a bit of their identity. They want to feel like its still them underneath it all."

And to make sure Jones' look stayed fresh through the awards show, Bedrani tucked a few of her favorite products into the nominee's clutch, including Tatcha's Original Aburatorigami blotting sheets ("You're on the red carpet and you don' know for how long, so its very important you don't look sweaty or greasy," she says), as well as a Diorskin Nude compact, and her liner and lipstick. "[Guests] will be kissing a lot and drinking a lot; it's most important to maintain your lip and your skin."
