Hugh Hefner, Crystal Harris Wed at Playboy Mansion
The couple tied the knot on New Year's Eve, a year and a half after she broke off their first engagement.
Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris have finally tied the knot.
A year and a half after she broke off their first engagement, Harris married the Playboy founder on Monday, New Year's Eve, at the Playboy Mansion.
"Today is the day I become Mrs. Hugh Hefner. Feeling very happy, lucky, and blessed," Harris, who was Playboy's Miss December 2009, tweeted earlier in the day. She has changed her name on Twitter to "Crystal Hefner."
She also tweeted photos of the flowers and wedding setup with messages including, "The mansion is looking beautiful," "Such beautiful flowers lining the archway" and "Almost ready!"
Hefner, 86, and Harris, 26, had been set to wed in June 2011, but she dumped him only five days before they were to be married.
"After much deep reflection and thought I have decided to end my engagement with Hef. I have the utmost respect for Hef and wish him the best going forward," Harris wrote on her website.
Lifetime was due to air a special Marrying Hef, which was briefly canceled. But instead, the network changed the special to Runaway Bride.
Things turned ugly, with the two engaging in a war of words. Harris went on Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show to dish on their sex life, saying they were only intimate once in two years.
"It lasted like about two seconds," she said of the first time they had sex, adding that she was never physically attracted to him. "I was over it. I just like, walked away. I am not turned on by Hef. Sorry."
"Hef doesn't really take off his clothes. I have never seen him naked," added Harris, who did say she loved Hef.
Hef wrote on Twitter later: "I feel sorry for Crystal. She seems lost."
He added, "Crystal convinced me that she adored me. That was the first lie."
She later apologized for her comments, tweeting: "The Stern interview scared me, he's harsh. I was unprepared and blurted out things I shouldn't have said, I'm sorry." Hefner on Twitter wrote that he accepted her apology.
The couple reunited this year.
"Yes, Hugh Hefner and I are back together," Harris tweeted. "Yes I am his #1 girl again. Yes we are happy. Hope that clears up any confusion! XO."
Harris also showed off her new engagement ring on Twitter this month. She auctioned off her first ring -- a 3.39-carat circular-cut diamond ring worth an estimated $90,000 -- in October 2011.
This marks the third marriage for Hefner, who was previously wed to Mildred Williams and Kimberley Conrad and has two children with each of his ex-wives. It's the first marriage for Harris, who recently opened a lingerie store, Femme Fatale, in Studio City.
