Hugh Hefner's Ex Crystal Harris: Why I Called Off the Wedding

The aspiring singer tells Ryan Seacrest: "I didn't think it was the right thing for me to do."
Crystal Harris has broken her silence over her decision to call off her wedding to Hugh Hefner just days before the ceremony.
"I called it off because I didn't think it was the right thing for me to do," she said Wednesday in an interview on KIIS-FM's On Air With Ryan Seacrest. "It was mutual between Hef and I. There was no fight; we sat down, and we talked about it."

Hefner confirmed Tuesday via Twitter that his 25-year-old fiancée had called of the wedding, planned for Saturday.
"The wedding is off," Hefner tweeted. "Crystal had a change of heart."
In fact, Harris said she'd been having cold feet for some time.
"For a while, I've been having second thoughts about everything," she told Seacrest. "I haven't really been at peace with myself lately. I didn't think it was really fair to him. ... I just thought about it and [thought], 'Was this what I wanted?' "

She said she started becoming uncomfortable with Hefner's lifestyle.
"That's the thing: This isn't the lifestyle for me, multiple girls all around, it's not the lifestyle I wanted," she added.
Another reason for her doubts? Lifetime's plan to film and air the wedding as a special.
"They were gonna air a show on it," Harris said. "It was all happening too fast for me."
Harris, who moved out of the Playboy Mansion on Tuesday, said Hefner has been understanding and was getting married primarily to make Harris happy.
Meanwhile, Harris still has "15 relatives flying in from London, so I have to find something for them to do."
Next up, Harris is working on an album with plans to release a single soon.
