'Hugo' Tops International 3D Society Awards With Three Trophies
"Tintin," "Puss In Boots," "Pina" are among the winners; Scorsese Receives Harold Lloyd Award.
Hugo collected a trio of awards for best live action 3D feature, best stereography (live action), and best 3D moment of the year on Wednesday at the International 3D Society’s 3D Creative Arts Awards. Additionally, Hugo director Martin Scorsese received the Society’s Harold Lloyd Filmmaker Award during the ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Feature animation category winners included The Adventures of Tintin for best animated 3D feature, and Puss In Boots for best stereography.
Wim Wenders' Pina from Neue Road Films received a Jury Prize for Excellence from the Society.

Additional Lumiere statuettes were awarded to feature-length productions including Disney’s The Lion King for best 2D-to-3D conversion, and Cave of Forgotten Dreams from Creative Differences for 3D documentary.
Winners in television include 3net’s Fields of Valor: Civil War, for entertainment programming; Sony Japan’s Ayumi Hamasaki: Arena Tour, for a live event; and BSkyB’s Champions League Final, in live sports.
Sony Corp. of America was honored with the Sir Charles Wheatstone Award for education at its Sony 3D Technology Center in Culver City.
The Society’s television partner, 3net, a 3DTV channel by Discovery, Sony and Imax, plans to air a one-hour special, "Your World in 3D,” highlighting nominated works and red carpet interviews from the ceremony.

3D Videogame – PC: “Batman: Arkham City” (Warner Brothers)
