'Hunger Games' Nail Polish Revealed, Effie Trinket Named 'Face' of China Glaze

Following a legal battle between the makeup retailer and Lionsgate, "The Capitol" has announced a line of 12 polishes -- each associated with a respective district.
Nearly one month after Lionsgate was hit with a lawsuit over a Hunger Games nail polish deal, China Glaze has released the first official promotional materials for the upcoming line of "Capitol Colours."

The beauty supply retailer named Elizabeth Banks' character Effie Trinket, known in the books for her outlandish and colorful style, as the official "face" of China Glaze.
As The Hollywood Reporter first reported, China Glaze's parent company, the Los Angeles-based American International Industries, filed a complaint on Nov. 23 after Lionsgate execs allegedly signed a contract for the development of nail polishes, but later made statements to press that the deal was "not happening." American claimed that it refused to lie, which prompted a Lionsgate attorney to send an email saying that the studio was "terminating" the contract." Lionsgate declined to comment on the suit.

It would appear that all legal issues have been cleared up, as Lionsgate Movies has distributed the first official print ad featuring Banks' character in promotion of the new line of polishes.
According to the release, China Glaze has developed 12 shades of nail polish, each associated with a respective district and "allowing citizens to show their solidarity and support for a favorite tribute."
"What will you be wearing to the opening ceremonies?" the ad reads.
The Hunger Games, slated for a March 23 release, is directed by Gary Ross and based on the popular young adult novels by Suzanne Collins. Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth star.
A representative from Lionsgate did not immediately return THR's request for comment.
