NEW YORK -- Simon Fuller has tapped Fox Interactive Media executive Jeff King, head of the Web site for "American Idol," to run the digital media department in the U.S. at Fuller's 19 Entertainment production company.

Don Wilcox, executive director of marketing, digital, at Sony Pictures, will replace King at FIM.

King leaves FIM as the group's vp and GM of branded entertainment and AmericanIdol.com. He was director of content and entertainment at the News Corp. division and supervising producer at Fox Broadcasting. King also was a senior producer at ABC and has worked on the Web sites for ABC.com and the Oscar, Emmy and Grammy shows.

King now joins Fuller, the executive producer of "American Idol," at 19 Entertainment, the company behind the highly rated Fox show and "Pop Idol," its U.K. predecessor. Other 19 clients include "Idol" winners and contestants, Victoria and David Beckham, singers Amy Winehouse and Annie Lennox and England's national soccer team.

Wilcox was director of product at Match.com and executive producer at ABC.com and Oscar.com. He also was the director of operations and managing producer at NBC.com and senior product manager at NBC's Snap.com property.
