IFC Films/Sundance Selects Promotes Trio
Shani Ankori, Steven Cardwell and Leslie Situ are promoted by the New York indie distributor.
IFC Films/Sundance Selects has promoted a trio of staffers.
Shani Ankori has been upped to senior vp marketing and will continue to report to IFC Films/Sundance Selects president Jonathan Sehring. Additionally, Steven Cardwell has been promoted to director of marketing, reporting to Ankori. And Leslie Situ has been upped to manager of finance, reporting to vp finance Svetla Sands. All are based at IFC Films’ New York headquarters.
In her new role, Ankori will oversee creative, event, digital and grassroots marketing for the company's theatrical and home entertainment division, including cable VOD and digital platforms. Cardwell expands his responsibilities beyond digital and social media marketing to now also include developing media strategy and paid consumer advertising for theatrical and awards campaigns. He also will provide creative input on marketing materials and manage digital PR for all films including editorial relations, strategic pitching and exclusive debuts. In her new role, Situ will be responsible for modeling and analysis of budgets, forecasts and financial results for IFC Films/Sundance Selects titles. She also will help develop and manage film budgets as well as monitor film performance in various revenue streams.
