Image picks U.S. rights to 'Every Day'

Family drama starring Liev Schreiber due in theaters in Jan.

Image Entertainment has picked up all U.S. rights to Ambush Entertainment's "Every Day," a drama starring Helen Hunt, Liev Schreiber and Brian Dennehy.

Image will release the the film in theaters in January, followed by DVD and digital rollout in the spring, Bill Bromiley, chief acquisitions officer for Image, said.

The family drama centers on a TV writer (Schreiber), whose life is turned upside down when his wife's estranged father (Dennehy) moves in with their family.

Hunt plays the wife, and Eddie Izzard and Carla Gugino also appear in the movie.

Ambush also made a deal for Alliance Entertainment to distribute the film in Canada.

Myriad Pictures is handling foreign sales.
