TORONTO -- Imax Corp. has booked the Universal Pictures action thriller Sanctum 3D from exec producer James Cameron for a limited two-week run from Feb. 4.
The diving adventure picture, directed by Alister Grierson, uses 3D photography technology developed by Cameron for Avatar 3D, which proved a box office winner for Imax.
Sanctum, which stars Richard Roxburgh and Rhys Wakefield, portrays a team of underwater cave divers exploring a large and barely accessible cave system, only to face a tropical storm.
The Universal Pictures 3D actioner will also screen on RealD screens.
