BERLIN -- In Darkness, a true-life Holocaust drama from director Agnieszka Holland has won top honors at Poland's Plus Camerimage festival, the world's leading fest focusing on the art of cinematography.

The film tells the true story of a Polish sewer worker who saved Jews from the death camps by hiding them in the tunnels beneath the city.
In Darkness is Poland's official entry for the 2012 foreign language Oscars.
Iranian drama Nader and Simin, A Seperation, another strong contender for the foreign language trophy, took the runner-up prize.
