Barcelona-based Imira will continue to operate as a separate entity with its existing management structure, but the teams from the two companies will now work together on production and distribution, Toonz said.
Imira will handle television and licensing rights for Toonz Animation-produced content in Europe, the US, Latin America and Africa. Imira already distributes a catalogue of over 4,000 half hours of children’s programming, shopping series such as Scholastic’s Goosebumps, Horrible Histories and The Magical School Bus, as well as its original series.
