Indie Distributor Dogwoof Catches 'Leviathan' for U.K.
Verena Paravel and Lucien Castaing-Taylor's commercial fishing documentary won the Michael Powell Award at this year's Edinburgh International Film Festival.
LONDON -- U.K. indie distributor Dogwoof has inked a deal for all U.K. rights to Verena Paravel and Lucien Castaing-Taylor's documentary Leviathan.
The movie-length documentary about the world of commercial fishing won the Michael Powell Award at this year's Edinburgh International Film Festival.
The deal was negotiated by Dogwoof head of distribution Oli Harbottle and Paravel and Castaing-Taylor.
Leviathan marks the the second film of Castaing-Taylor’s to be released by Dogwoof in the U.K., after the company rolled out Sweetgrass in 2011.
Harbottle described Leviathan as a "completely unique cinema experience."
