EXCLUSIVE: Indomina Acquires Scottish Horror Film 'Outcast'

Indomina Releasing has picked up all North American rights to the Scottish horror film Outcast.

James Nesbitt, who was just cast in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit, Kate Dickie and Niall Bruton star in the story of a powerful witch on the run with her son through modern-day Edinburgh as a vicious hunter pursues them. Colm McCarthy directed a script he wrote with Tom McCarthy.

Eddie Dick, Brendan McCarthy and John McDonnell produced; Phil Hunt and Compton Ross are executive producers.

“A crowd favorite at this year’s SXSW and Screamfest L.A., Colm McCarthy’s ‘Outcast’ presents a suspenseful twist to horror cinema,” said Indomina Group CEO Jasbinder Singh Mann. “Outcast brings another dimension to the Indomina brand.”

Indomina exec Rob Williams negotiated with Stephen Kelliher of international sales agent Bankside Films on behalf of the filmmakers.

Indomina also recently acquired Griff the Invisible, Wasted on the Young and Fire of Conscience.
