Innovative launches comedy division
EmptyInnovative Artists has launched its first comedy and personal appearances division, hiring 10-year industry veteran Stu Golfman to head it up.
Golfman will identify up-and-coming comedy talent to sign to the agency with the mandate of growing their comedy and personal appearance careers.
Golfman comes to Innovative from Pacific Comedy and before that was the talent coordinator at the Melrose Improv in West Hollywood. He began his comedy career at the Just for Laughs Festival.
"Stu will sign new clients selectively and will help grow and nurture the department based on quality, not quantity," Innovative president Scott Harris said. "We want to bring comics into the Innovative family who inspire collective enthusiasm."
Also, former Endeavor agent Jaime Misher has joined Innovative's New York office in the talent department. Misher was based out of Endeavor's Los Angeles office from 1998-2004 before moving to its New York office for two years.
Misher, who has been working in the fashion industry since leaving Endeavor, got her start in the agency business as an assistant at Gersh.
