Washington Driver Ticketed for Carpooling with Cardboard Cutout of Dos Equis Man

Washington State Patrol officer Guy Gill tweeted a photo of the cardboard cutout alongside the caption, "I don't always violate the HOV lane law...but when I do, I get a $124 ticket! We'll give him an A for creativity!"

A Washington driver received a $124 ticket this week for illegally using the HOV lane with a cardboard cutout of the Most Interesting Man in the World sitting in the passenger seat.

Washington State Patrol officer Guy Gill tweeted a photo of the cardboard cutout alongside the caption, "I don't always violate the HOV lane law...but when I do, I get a $124 ticket! We'll give him an A for creativity!"

According to Fox News, the driver was pulled over Monday after a state trooper noticed his unusual passenger, a cardboard cutout of actor Jonathan Goldsmith, famous for his role as the Most Interesting Man in the World in Dos Equis beer commercials. Funny enough, the cardboard cutout was apparently still wearing a seatbelt.

The driver reportedly told the officer the piece of cardboard was his "best friend."
