The Hollywood Reporter's redesigned Web site features new functions for business and finance junkies as of today, including industry stock watchlists, a CEO Wealthmeter and the newly established THR Showbiz 50 index.

The Showbiz 50 comprises stocks covering a broad range of the media and entertainment industry and its sectors.

It includes, for example, such industry giants as Time Warner Inc., News Corp. and the Walt Disney Co., such video rental firms as Blockbuster Inc., Movie Gallery Inc. and Web pioneer Netflix Inc. as well as radio and TV companies. Also part of the index are video game makers, which have risen to increasing prominence, such online media powerhouses as Google Inc. and Yahoo! Inc., media tech players like DVR pioneer TiVo Inc., and more.

The Reporter's Web site will feature instant access in real time to the Showbiz 50 index's latest price along with highs and lows for the trading session, change for the day and intraday trading chart, as well as the same data for its stock components. It also will provide access to historical prices and identify the index's biggest gainers and losers of the day in percentage and absolute price terms.

FinancialContent, a provider of financial data and tools, is The Reporter's partner in providing these services.

The Reporter's Tuesday edition will from now on feature the latest snapshot of the THR Showbiz 50 along with its change for the week plus trend highlights, such as latest gainers and losers.

During the rest of the week, The Reporter's Money page will feature what generally will be a briefer look at the THR Showbiz 50 — its latest closing price along with the previous day's biggest winner and loser.
