This Is How to Look Like a Kardashian at a Wedding
Celebrity makeup artist Joyce Bonelli spills the secrets behind Kris Jenner and Khloe Kardashian's faces for Kimye's big day. Because we know you were totally wondering.
All eyes were on the bride and groom at Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding of the century -- but that didn’t mean the rest of the Kardashian clan weren’t turning heads with a few looks of their own. On hand to for the festivities was an army of the makeup and hair pros, including Los Angeles-based Joyce Bonelli who was responsible for creating the head-turning looks for mother-of-the-year Kris Jenner and sister Khloe Kardashian (that happened to blow up Instagram).
"I wanted to be sure that both of their looks could easily transition from day to evening with a simple lipstick change and look flawless throughout," says Bonelli, whose client roster is a who’s who of Hollywood beauties, from Nicki Minaj to Nicole Richie. Here, the celebrity makeup artist spills the deets on the secret beauty weapons she packed for the trip -- and the tricks to creating their faces.
Khloe Kardashian's Look
"For Khloe’s look, I prepped with SK-II Signs Eye Mask followed by RE9 Advanced Regenerating Toner from Arbonne, La Mer Regenerating Serum, and finished with moisturizing cream from Crème de la Mer. I went with Kohgendo Maifanshi Moisture Foundation -- for flawless, but not obvious, coverage -- and used a Tom Ford brush for application. I also used Kevyn Aucoin The Sensual Skin Enhancer concealer, and applied with a beauty blender."
"For the eyes, I used NARS Matte eyeshadow in Abyssina for the base, Shimmer Shadow in Galapagos and in Mekong for the crease and on the lash line. I chose Make Up For Ever Lipstick Matte 1 Flesh to complement her gorgeous lips, and finished off the look with Ardell self-adhesive lashes and L’Oreal’s Voluminous Original Mascara."
Kris Jenner's Look
"For Kris’ look, I wanted to do a similar look that transitioned easily, but made sure that it was tailored to her. I prepped her face with the same skin products, then I used Chanel Perfection Lumière foundation to accent her amazing glow, topped with NARS Orgasm blush. For her eyes, I used Make Up For Ever Matte shadow in 156 Flesh Pink as a base, layered with the brand’s shimmery Diamond eye shadow in 312 Diamond Brown and NARS Shimmer Shadow in Mekong for the crease and lash line. I also used Ardell lashes to lend a little bit of glam to a beautifully understated look, L’Oreal mascara, and Bobbi Brown Lip Gloss in Buff to create her glossy lips that tied it all together."
