Rumor has it that the creative director will head to Azzedine Alaia next.

Here's to another round of fashion musical chairs: Phoebe Philo is reportedly leaving Celine after she completes the marketing for the fall/winter 2016 collection.

The Fashion Law reports that Philo, who has been with the French fashion house since 2008, is heading to Azzedine Alaia, which is owned by luxury firm Richemont — the same company that owns Chloe, where Philo started in 1997 as Stella McCartney's design assistant and then went on to become creative director in 2001. Pret-a-Reporter has reached out to Celine and Richemont for comment.

This isn't the first time it has been rumored that Philo was leaving Celine. In August, Page Six reported that the designer was "looking to leave the company," according to the site's sources.

If the news is true, then this would be a huge loss for Celine, as Philo helped turn the luxury label into one of fashion's most influential brands with knock-offs of its designs made by fast fashion retailers season after season.

Not only has Philo defined mimimal luxe with her collections and found famous fans in Cameron Diaz, Kendall Jenner, Demi Lovato, Jessica Alba, to name a few, with her "it" bags (the Luggage tote, for example), she also featured one of the most revered literary figures for a Celine campaign — Joan Didion. It caused quite a stir on the interwebs, as one would expect.

Philo is no stranger to doing things on her own terms, though. In 2006, the British creative parted ways with Chloe to be with her family.

Philo — who was honored as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II in 2013 and named one of the fashion forces on Time's annual 100 list in 2014 — would follow in the footsteps of Stefano Pilati, Alber Elbaz, Raf Simons and Alexander Wang to have recently step down from their top respective posts. Here's to seeing what Philo does next.
