Israel's Keshet Sells Hit Show About Service Professionals to Scandinavia
The producer of the original show behind "Homeland" has sold "Fair & Square" to companies for Sweden, Finland and Denmark.
LONDON -- Keshet International, the global distribution arm of Israel's Keshet Media Group, has inked a trio of format sales deals for hit factual entertainment show Fair & Square.
The company whose output boasts Prisoners of War, the original version of Emmy winner Homeland, licensed the format Fair & Square to production company Nice Entertainment Group for Sweden and Finland and Nordisk Film TV for Denmark.
Fair & Square aims to put service professionals to the test by presenting real-life repair situations sought out by an undercover journalist host.
Dishonest technicians are caught on film using the cheapest tricks in the book to cheat the unwitting consumer.
But the format twist is that, unlike other shows Fair & Square, aims to spotlight and praise those who prove to be professional, honest and offer consumersreal value for their money.
The third season of the show in Israel, produced by Kol-Miney Productions for Keshet, was the most viewed series in Israel iwhen on air between July and Oct 2012, with a 43.4 percent average share.
The final episode scored a 46.7 percent share and ratings of 31.8 percent.
The deals follows Keshet International selling its musical talent show format Master Class to Nice Entertainment for Sweden and Norway and to an undisclosed broadcaster for Hungary.
