ITV Studios America and U.K.-based production company Komixx Entertainment are teaming to develop new scripted fare.

Under the pact, all of Komixx's U.S. TV development will be done through ITV, expanding the latter's efforts to produce scripted programming, the companies announced Wednesday.

Komixx, which recently expanded to the U.S., sources rights through a range of partnerships including its exclusive relationship with book publisher Random House Group. The pact provides Komixx -- and now ITV -- access to one of the largest sources of original family and young adult published material in the world.

Established in 2007, Komixx creates, produces and distributes entertainment content for family audiences ranging from preschool through tweens, teens and young adults. It has offices in London and L.A. and creates content for TV, movies, mobile applications, video games, live events, on-demand and more.

ITV Studios America president Orly Adelson, Komixx's head of film and TV Andrew Cole-Bulgin and managing director Ed Glauser made the announcement Wednesday.

"For us, it was all about having a shared creative vision and ITV Studios America not only gives us that but also a great opportunity to get our scripted drama into the U.S. television networks. What really impressed us was the energy and focus given to our content by Orly and the team," Cole-Bulgin said.

Added Glauser: "Our expansion into the U.S. and our producer deal with ITV Studios America marks the first step in our ability to bring this great content to the US and we look forward to a long and successful relationship."

Said Adelson: "I am delighted to be working with Andrew and Edward. They combine a unique creative vision and an exciting ability to adapt literary material for the screen.”

ITV Studios America's current series include Texas Rising, The Good Witch, Hell’s Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, The First 48, After the First 48, #RichKids of Beverly Hills, Cesar 911, The Chase, Four Weddings, Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters, The Car Chasers, The Bill Cunningham Show andAmerica Now.
