Jackman takes Deluxe N.Y. post
EmptyMichael Jackman has been named vp and GM of Deluxe New York, which is under construction and scheduled to be fully operational by late March.
Before joining Deluxe, Jackman was senior vp postproduction at the Weinstein Co., where he oversaw post on all original productions and acquisitions for Weinstein and Dimension Films. His postproduction management credits also include Martin Scorsese's "The Aviator" and "Gangs of New York."
"We are thrilled to recruit an executive with Michael's credentials to head up our New York operation," said Dan McLellan, executive vp Deluxe postproduction. "He is well-respected in postproduction circles, and as a resident New Yorker, he shares our vision to bring world-class services to this important film and television market."
Deluxe's downtown New York facility initially will house a motion picture film laboratory, a screening room equipped for both film and digital cinema, and digital services to support picture postproduction for dailies, mastering and deliverables. It also will include a base for Deluxe's Efilm business, which is headquartered in Hollywood.
Deluxe New York is also staffing up with Russ Robertson, who will serve as vp sales; Joe Gawler, colorist; Terra Bliss, manager of operations; and Emery Anderson, chief engineer.
The business is a division of Deluxe Entertainment Services Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings.
