Willow and Jaden Smith Have Arrived at the Met Gala 2016 Red Carpet
The siblings matched in all-black ensembles.
The always colorful Jaden Smith stepped out Monday in a black Louis Vuitton tux with white piping at the Met Gala, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Sister Willow Smith did her thing in a bold Chanel look — a fitting choice given she's a Chanel ambassador.
The theme of this year's event is "Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology." The gala celebrates the opening of the Costume Institute's newest exhibit, which showcases the contrast between handmade fashion and machine-made fashion.
The son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith became the newest face of Louis Vuitton in January, furthering his reputation as a trendsetter by modeling a woman's skirt. The 17-year-old also has been known to alter his own ensembles, most recently cutting off the top of a hat to make room for his hair.
Meanwhile, Willow's own star has been rising. The teen has been named to several "ones to watch" lists in the past few months.
The night marks the siblings' first appearance at the Met Gala, although undoubtedly not their last.
