James Franco 'Sorry' for Mocking Oscar Writer Bruce Vilanch
The actor makes nice after scribbling a mean note over the writer’s face.
James Franco and Bruce Vilanch are making nice.
Vilanch irked Franco when he told New York magazine the actor “didn’t get there” as co-host of last month’s Academy Awards.
Franco responded by Tweeting that Vilanch let him down and then scribbled over Vilanch’s face: "James Franco f----- up the Oscars. Trust me, I know comedy. C'mon, I write for Bette Midler."
He removed the message a short time later, but not before bloggers picked up on it.
Vilanch reached out to Franco and said his remarks were said in a "much lighter" tone than the way they came across in print, according to Franco's Twitter account.
"Thanks Bruce,” Franco replied. “Sorry for reading stupid blogs. James."
